Agri-Food Immigration
Are you considering applying under the Agri-Food Immigration pilot program?
In order to help address Canada’s labour needs pertaining to the agri-food sector, the Canadian government has established the Agri-Food Pilot. This pilot program provides a pathway to permanent residence for experienced, non-seasonal workers. The Agri-Food pilot pertains to workers in specific industries and occupations. It is currently scheduled to run until May 2023.
In order to participate in the Agri-Food Pilot, applicants need the following:
- Eligible Canadian work experience in one or more of the eligible industries and occupations
- Have a non-seasonal, full-time job offer from a Canadian employer in one of the eligible industries and occupations,( located outside of Québec)
- Meet or exceed one of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLBs)
- Meet or exceed the educational requirements
- Meet the applicable settlement funds thresholds, when required
- If you are already in Canada, you are required to maintain temporary resident status
