Global Talent Stream Work Permit

The Global Talent Stream Work Permit has two streams, category A and category B. Employers applying via the Global Talent Stream are required to comply with the program’s guidelines and you must uphold the conditions and rules set out in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and its Regulations (IRPR). 

Category A:

If you have been referred to the GTS by one of the Stream’s designated partners and you are hiring an individual with unique and specialized talent, you may be eligible to apply for a work permit under this program.

Category B:  

If you are seeking to hire highly-skilled foreign workers to fill in-demand occupations positions found in the GTS list, a referral is not required in order to be eligible for Category B.
