Find a Job in Canada: Canadian employers seeking to hire foreign nationals are required to list their job postings on the jobbank.gc.ca website. International Experience Canada (IEC): Eligibility for the IEC program is based on whether your country or territory of citizenship has an agreement with Canada that allows you to apply for a work permit. If your country does not have an agreement with Canada, you have the option of working with a recognized organization (RO) to secure a job offer with a Canadian employer.
Study Permits: If you are looking to study for a term of less than 6 months, you are not required to have a study permit. From studying in Canada as a minor all the way through to post-secondary and graduate study permits, there are numerous Canadian visas available to foreign nationals and their children.
Temporary Resident Visa (TRV): A TRV is also referred to as a Visitors Visa. It is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office. This visa is placed directly into your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission into Canada. (Not to be confused with a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP).
Temporary Resident Permit (TRP): Is there a difference between a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP)? Yes there is a difference. A TRP is a document issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) that allows people to visit the country, who technically are inadmissible to Canada. (Not to be confused with Temporary Resident Visa (TRV).
Travel and Visitors Visas: Unless you are from a visa-exempt country, you will need a visitor’s visa to enter Canada. (hyperlink this tab to SAMLAW that talks about TRVs)
Permanent Resident Travel Card (PRTD): If you are a permanent resident and you are currently outside of Canada without a valid PR card, you must apply for a PRTD.
