International Experience Class Work Permits

International Experience Canada (IEC) Work Permits

I want to work and travel in Canada. How do I apply for a work permit and become a candidate in the International Experience Canada (IEC)?

Generally, if you are between the ages of 18 to 35 (for some countries it is 18-29 or 30 years old), and would like to travel and work in Canada, this is a great program for you to consider.

The IEC open work permit grants youth an opportunity to work across Canada and earn income as they travel. Depending on what kind of work you will be in Canada, you may be required to provide biometrics and/or a medical certificate.

The IEC work permit program is a multi-step process and can take up to 79 weeks for the government to process your application.  Plan ahead and Contact SamLaw so we can help you with your work permit application and explore all of your Canadian work permit options.

Government Fees to participate in the IEC program: $156

Government Processing time: 79 weeks
