Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot
The Candian government’s intention when developing the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot, was to create a community-driven program that supports the benefits of economic immigration into Canada’s smaller communities. This too, is a pathway to permanent residency for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in one of the pilot’s participating communities.
Since this pilot is a community-driven program, the communities themselves will:
- Assess prospective candidates
- Recommend candidates for permanent residence to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC)
- Newcomers will be connected with Settlement Program services (available both inside Canada and in your home country before you arrive), and mentoring opportunities with established members of the community
The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program is a 4 step process to apply for permanent residence. Contact SamLaw and let us help you with your Canadian immigration needs and assist you with your application process under this pilot program.
